Avinash Azad JAMMU, Sept 10: The Government Medical College and Hospital authorities have allegedly twisted the rules to appoint a blue eyed candidate as Junior Theatre Assistant in lieu of some pecuniary benefits, rejecting the deserving candidate who was above in the merit list. Moreover, a case against said blue eyed candidate is pending in Chief Judicial Magistrate, Rajouri. Ignored, deserving candidate, Mohammad Safeer son of Talib Husain resident of Ghambirmughlan, Thanamandi told Early Times that Wasim Tariq was selected by selection committee of GMC&H under RBA category for the post of Jr Theatre Assistant. Challenging, appointment of Wasim for the said post, Safeer has written SSP vigilance commission and sought justice as the selection committee had allegedly ignored meritorious and adjusted blue eyed candidate. "In merit my serial number was 31 while the selected candidate Wasim Tariq was standing at serial number 39. As per notification issued by GMC&H for post, the basic qualification was fixed Matriculation with Diploma in Junior Theatre Assistant for a period of one year. But in the final list Wasim was selected by the selection committee after recommendation and approval from Administration department", Safeer written to SSP vigilance, adding that he has secured 296 marks out of 500 in 10th class and 407 out of 750 in class 12th of JKBOSE, while the selected candidate had secured 200 marks in 10th class JKBOSE and done his one year Diploma in Jr Theatre Assistant. He further wrote that Wasim was facing criminal charges and the matter was pending with court of CJM Rajouri. "Wasim had assaulted a woman and booked under section 452, 147, 323 RPC at Police Station Thana Mandi under FIR number 86/2012", the documents read. Safeer alleged that the candidate was appointed even with producing his character certificate. "The selection committee has not been disclosing the details about merit academic as well as in interview for the post", the depriving candidate written vigilance requesting that if said person had joined the department his salary should not be drawn without verification and his service should be terminated. |
