Kathua, Sept 10: Member Parliament Udhampur-Doda constituency Choudhary Lal Singh held a Public Grievances Camp at his residence here at Kathua. Panchs/ Sarpanchs and general public put forth their demands and grievances before the MP regarding repair of roads, electricity, drinking water, pending MGNREGA payments, repair of hand pumps, electric poles, ration and old age and widow pension. MP listened the problems and grievances of the public representatives and assured their redressal on the priority basis. He directed the concerned officers to mitigate the sufferings of the people at an earliest. While speaking on the occasion Choudhary Lal Singh said that UPA government at centre headed by Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh is committed for the welfare and upliftment of poor peoples. He said that in order to ensure food to all citizens' government has recently passed Food Security Bill. He said that government is bringing Land Acquisition Bill to safeguard the interest of the farmers. He said that PRI's are the important tier of the democracy and central government is keen to strengthen then to achieve the real goal of democracy. |
