early times report JAMMU, Sept 10: The Motor Vehicle Department, Jammu,in collaboration with Government Women College, Gandhi Nagar today organized a road safety awareness camp in the college. The awareness camp is a part of ongoing drive by the department to sensitize the school and college students about the importance of obeying road safety rules and following proper procedures for making of driving licenses. A power point presentation on procedures to be observed for filling up of on line Learner's License and the formalities required to be completed was presented on the occasion. The students were also shown films on road safety especially on the need to observe traffic rules to avoid accidents. The literature on road rules and signs was also distributed among the students and the staff of the college. Besides, learner's forms were also distributed among the students, teachers and staff so as to make it convenient for them to apply for the same. The students of the college participated in the camp with great enthusiasm. Principal of the College, Kiran Bakshi, RTO Jammu, Arvind Kotwal, ARTO Jammu, Kuldeep Singh, Coordinator, Dr. Anjali Bhat, staff of the college, Motor Vehicle Inspectors and staff of RTO, Jammu were present on the occasion. |
