JAMMU, Sept 10: Member Legislative Council (MLC), Devinder Singh Rana today declared open the 5th J&K State Shooting Championship, organised by J&K Rifle Association at Delhi Public School (DPS), Shooting Range here.
Speaking to the participants, chief guest encouraged them and wished success. He lauded the efforts of the Association in promoting the game in the state. Around 200 shooters drawn from districts and other affiliated clubs are participating in this four-day competition.

Earlier, in his welcome address, Principal of the host DPS, S Sonar informed the gathering about the state championships. He also listed the initiatives being taken by the school to expose young talent into the game.
Among those present in the opening function included Sohan Lal, Sanam Soni, Taranjeet Singh Tony, Sudhir Kumar, Sharat Chander Singh, Col Sukhbir Singh and Suminder Singh. |
