ET Report Baramulla, Sept 26 : Expressing concern over vested interests for not allowing the harmony between neighboring nations. Minister for Health and Medical education and Sports, Taj Mohiuddin on Thursday termed the twin attacks, one on Police Station Hira Nagar Kathua and another on Army camp at Samba, a grave lapse of security. "I admit it to be our mistake and security lapse. In Kashmir government remains alert to thwart such kind of attacks but maybe we were not ready for the same in Jammu", Minister Said. Replying to query if the twin attacks were carried out to derail talks between the Prime Ministers of Pakistan and India at New York, Minister said, "some vested interested will never allow peace and harmony between the two countries and hence they make such attempts to sabotage peace initiatives". "There is some weakness on our part that we remained over confident in Jammu region and we give more attention to Kashmir" Taj said at a function in Baramulla. Minister maintained that state government will formulate effective strategy to thwart such misadventures. |
