| BJP calls for Jammu bandh today | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 26: Stat Unit of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) has given call for Jammu bandh on September 27 in protest against the terrorist attack on Police Station in Hiranagar and also on army camp in Samba. The decision to this effect was taken in a meeting held at Party headquarters under State President Jugal Kishore Sharma, alongwith Leader of Legislative Party Ashok Khajuria, National Executive Member Dr. Nirmal Singh and State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul. Jugal Kishore Sharma, while condemning the terrorist attack said that it is total failure on part of the UPA government which has adopted soft approach towards Pakistan during the last 9 years. He said that the State's NC-Congress coalition too is equally responsible as the state Chief Minister himself has been demanding revocation of AFSPA and withdrawal of army. The government functionaries have been encouraging such elements who have been levelling flimsy charges against VDCs and demanding to disband them. He appealed the Bar Association, business, trade, industry, educational and transport organizations to extent their full support to make the bandh successful so that a clear message goes to the government that people are not going to tolerate the approach of the Union government towards terrorism. |
