Government using "Divide and Rule" policy on Kashmiri Hindu Shrines Bill
9/26/2013 11:34:09 PM
Jammu, Sept 26: KPSS is disappointed on the stances of Government and few vested interest organization and persons who are trying to dilute and adulterate the much talked Kashmiri Hindu Shrines Bill. It seems that Government is using "Divide and Rule" policy to get the maximum benefit out of the bill. After every alternate day some organizations accept it and some reject it, creating divide in the community.
KPSS want to make it clear that even if a single temple is excluded from the Bill, no one can stop us to challenge the same before the Court. Every thing should be in black and white and should guarantee the preservation and protection of the all the temples and shines in Kashmir and be implemented on ground considering the position of these temple as on 01.01.1989.
It is also an irony that much talked Kashmiri Hindu Shrine Bill is not available in public domain where every stake holder can read the same and submit their suggestion / propositions or file an objection to the same. But it has been home delivered to few blue eyes persons or organizations who are hand in glove with the government to damage the religious and culture account of Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir. KPSS want to make it clear the few blue eyed organizations and persons don't represent overall stake holders.
KPSS is fully aware that in the garb of "contaminated and polluted" proposed Kashmiri Hindu Shrine Bill, want to legalize the sale of the temples under one roof as has been done while formulating Migrant Properties Distress Sales Act rather than extending Evacuees Property Act to migrant properties which guarantees the safe guard of the properties belonging to Evacuees of 1947.
KPSS and other organizations which represent Kashmiri Pandits who stayed back in Kashmir during the turmoil period feels once again feel cheated and embittered in every way by the Government, its authoritative machinery and the politically motivated leaders of the who now live settled and flourishing life around the world. It is worth to enunciate here we left-outs tried every bit to safe guard the temples and shrines belonging to the Community, during the worst period, risking everything and also maintained the social and cultural fabric of the society and now again we are kept deliberately aloof from this political event. It seems that our more than two decades of sacrifices means now nothing to the people who are helm of affairs now.
KPSS through the medium of press want to send a word to the people who are at helm of affairs regarding Kashmiri Hindu Temple Bill, that not a single temple should be excluded from the Bill, else KPSS will knock the doors of Court. Also the much talked Bill be put in the public domain as soon as possible with all the details that happens to be part of the process which leads to the passage for passing the same. KPSS believe that Kashmniri Pandits who stayed back in Kashmir can provide true accounts of these temples and shrines being genuine witnesses.
