| JKPPM to boycott upcoming elections | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 27: Jammu and Kashmir Pahari People Movement (JKPPM) has extended its full support to election boycott call given by Panches Sarpanches of Pahari Community in a meeting at Darhal Thanna Mandi, Surnkote.
Member of JKPPM alleged that government has failed to full fill long pending agreed and justified demand of ST Status to Pahari community.
Chief Executive of the Movement, Shahbaz Khan and General Secretary Shamim Mughal in a joint press statement said that State and Central government is provoking them to start community war in the region and if such happens it will take ugly turn in future.
He said that economic disparities have ever become the root cause of any anti govt, movement & people choose undemocratic way to fight for there just and genuine cause. Though Shahbaz Khan and Shamim Mughal hailed the statement of veteran Gujjar leader who favored ST status to Paharis but he criticized such Gujjar leaders who are unnecessarily opposing their demand. |
