| Suspected ultra gives slip to security forces | | | Anantnag, Nov 12: A suspected militant today managed to give a slip to security forces when Army along with Kulgam police cordoned Naikpora area of the town after getting an information regarding presence of suspected militant, reports said. "Troops from 9 Rashtriya Riles (RR) along with SOG Kulgam laid down a cordon in and around the Naikpora area of Kulgam town, sources said adding that intelligence agencies have troops have got an input about the presence of AK47 borne militant in the area." They said that the suspected militant managed to give a slip to troops who cordoned off the area. "We cordoned off the area after we got input about the presence of militant in the area." A police official told Early Times, adding cordon was called off after intensive operation.
He said that no arms or ammunition was recovered during counter insurgency operation but it has enhanced the sense of security among the local populace in the area.
