Kathua, Nov 12: To commemorate the Birth Anniversary of freedom fighter Moulana Abdul Kalaam Azad, an Inter-College Symposium on the topic "Integration of ICT in Teaching-Learning Process: Opportunities and Limitations" was organized at Rajiv Gandhi Memorial College of Education (RGMCE), Kathua. Students from eleven colleges participated in the symposium. All the participants emphasized the needs to integrate ICT in Teaching-Learning Process to strengthen the education system. They stressed that the country can make progress only if our education system is backed by intensive use of ICT. Keeping in view the vast population of the country, students in the remote corners can get higher quality education only if our education system can reach them by making use of ICT. Teleconferencing, Audio Conferencing, Television Lessons, Radio Talks, Interactive radio-active sessions, e-mails and the use of internet are some of the ways to impart education to the students residing in far-flung areas of the country. Chand Kishore DPO, Chief Guest on the occasion appreciated the use of ICT not only in the education sector, banking sector, insurance sector but also in the Panchayats. Anirudh Sharma, BDO Guest of Honour shared his personal experiences with regards to the use of ICT. |
