Udhampur, Nov 12: To mark the Childern's Day and create awareness among the children about fundamental rights and duties, the Tehsil Legal Services Authority Majalta organized a legal awareness camp at Khoon , Majalta in which large number of students participated .
The Chairman, Tehsil Legal Services Authority Munsiff Sudesh Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion.
Among others, Block Medical officer, Block Development officer , Principal of school , Members of Bar Association , panch, sarpanch , local NGO's and hundreds of school children participated in the awareness camp.
During the awareness camp various speakers delivered speeches on the topics like rights of children, right to education, right to liberty as well as basic fundamental rights and responsibilities of the citizens.
The speakers stressed upon the student community to spread the knowledge of basic fundamental rights in their respective societies.
Addressing on the occasion, the chief guest of the function, Chairman TLSA Sudesh Sharma highlighted the importance of the awareness regarding legal services.
She threw light on Rights of Children, Child Labour Act, Juvenile Justice Act, Right of Children to free and compulsory education and other legislations made for the care, protection and development of children and different schemes launched by NALSA and SLSA for the benefit of people.
Advocate, Amit Sharma and sarpanch of the area also delivered lecture on the subject and appreciated effort of legal services authority in this regard . |
