Rajouri, Nov 12: Lambasting State Government for its failure to solve day today problems of the common masses, PDP candidate for Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat Yash Pal Sharma, MLC today said that miseries of the people have increased manifold after formation of National Conference led coalition regime in the State. Addressing series of public meetings at Dalgora, Swani, Kaller and Dhangri areas of Rajouri district on the third day of his tour to this district, Sharma said that State has been plunged into unprecedented crises due to wrong policies of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, whose inability to connect himself with the people would be proved disastrous for the State. He said that during the last five years this regime has done nothing to solve problems of the people. "What to say to mitigating woes of the masses, this regime has further compounded miseries of the people due to its wrong policies", he pointed out and added this regime has proved total failure in its five year tenure. While expressing his grave concern over mounting problems of the common masses, he said that due to its misdeed and mis-governance this regime has lost its credibility. He especially mentioned towards the issues raised by workers during the meetings and assured that PDP would effectively take up all the issues. He took the coalition government to task for its failure to provide even ration to the people of this region. "Scarcity of ration in the remotest areas speaks about the casual approach being adopted by this dispensation towards solving basic problems of the people", he observed and called upon the party workers to expose this regime before the masses. . He further said that this regime was formed without any programme and policy and instead of solving basic problems of the common masses, leaders of National Conference have been befooling the people by making false promises. Sharma said that National Conference was mother of all problems, "Whenever this party come to power, alienation of people starts increasing because one and only aim of this party is to enjoy the power by bartering wishes and aspirations of the people", he said and maintained that the present regime headed by Omar Abdullah has been befooling the people by making one after another promise. "People of State have lost faith on NC led regime as this government has done nothing on ground", he said, adding, "achievements of the government confined only on papers because this regime is more particular about issuing press statements and conducting photo sessions to hoodwink the gullible people", he said. Bharat Bhushan Gupta, Anjum Mirza, Amar Singh Josh, Naresh Sharma, Harbajan Singh, Sumit Sharma, Pamma Verma and others also spoke on the occasion. |
