| Mis-management at galore in Doda Education system | | | ET REPORT
Doda, Nov 19: Inspite of the fact that all the schools in the Distt are facing acute shortage of teachers, at the same time number of teachers are attached and dumped in the office of Chief Education Officer Doda and other Zonal Offices of the Distt. This routine of the Deptt has raised finger on the functioning of the Deptt.
In every office number of teachers can be seen for a single job with the excuses on the name of SSA, RMSA, BLO, Census Duties, ZRP, CRP and such other activities and leaving the school open for many days.
In Chief Education Office Doda alone number of teachers has been attached on the name of SSA, Mid Day Meal, RMSA, Legal Help etc.
These teachers are there from last 10-15-18 years which include Tariq Razdan which was originally posted at HS Paryote and presently he is looking the Monitoring Cell of the CEO Office, whereas Vidya Dhar which was posted at HS Dharote is now looking into the affairs of Mid Day Meal Programme in CEO Office.
A teacher namely Sohail Raja originally a Ret teacher which was posted in PS Beli is now Incharge RMSA of the Distt.
Attar Parvez original posting PS Gureka is now Incharge of Legal Cell of the office. A Master Grade teacher Shah Mohd Parray who is in CEO office from last 18 years is still there and also got the two promotions from the same office is Incharge SSA in the office. Shameem Ahmed UPS Paneen is also Incharge SSA and Kismat Singh is also enjoying the benefits of pick and choose of the Deptt.
When the scheme like SSA was introduced in the Education Sector, then it was hoped that the shortage of staff in the schools will be replaced with the recruitment of teachers but the adjustment of teachers in the different offices have always remain a strong obstacle in implanting the scheme like SSA, RMSA etc. and the Mid Day meal has become the failure due to some pity kind of teachers.
Distt President All India Students Federation (AISF) Doda Mohd Saleem said that the Deptt has ruined the standard of education by the wrong deeds of some officers and teachers of the Deptt. He also said that the these adjustments should be evicted as soon as possible to protect the rights of the students.
When Contacted Chief Education Officer Doda Sh. Mohd Ashraf Rather in the matter said that the Deptt needs some teachers to run the different programmes and some adjustments have been made by the Director and Secretary School Education J&K.
But the question arises there why only the teachers are being adjusted in the offices and not other persons are being recruited in the Deptt on the price of students rights and the exploitation of students and the empty schools have now become the real image of education Deptt. |
