Saahil Suhail ANANTNAG, Nov 19: Unable to conceal his political affinity, Director School Education Kashmir, who couple of days ago had assured strict action against the teachers who had closed school just to facilitate Congress rally in Laln Ganoor area of Anantnag district has chosen to ignore the incident in complete departure from resolve he exhibited earlier. Highly placed sources said that Director School Education Kashmir, Tariq Ali is himself close to Congress party in the state and hence could not have taken action against teachers for facilitating conduct of political rally of party he himself followed. Pertinent to mention that, on last Friday, the teachers had conveyed to the students that school will remain closed on Saturday for organizing a political rally inside the premises. School was decorated by banners while as few students served tea and refreshments to the teachers and guests while they clapped in praise of Congress chief Prof. Saif-ud-Din Soz. Chief Education Officer Anantnag also seems too helpless in this regard. On being contacted he said, "I know school was closed. I will seek an explanation from the headmaster but currently he is not available as his daughter is reportedly ill." While as Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Farooq Ahmad Lone was shocked to know that the school remained closed for the rally. Director School Education, allegedly a close confidant of State Congress Chief, Prof. Saif-ud-Din Soz, didn't attended repeated calls on his cellphone. |
