Heritage up for grabs!

Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 19: It has become customary for many organizations to exploit the common man's attachment to past and the heritage of one's land. The worst part of this weakness is that the well meaning sincere common people are taken for a ride. The latest in this series of exploitation is the celebrating of World Heritage Week at Dogra Art Museum from November 19 to November 24. As if celebrating heritage is the exclusive preserve and privilege of the few, the organizers have claimed to display coins from the old times including the British period.
How gullible do the organizers think the common man in our society is proved by the fact that there has always been some underlying personal business interest that is behind an apparently noble chase for heritage and tradition. Do the proclaimed celebrations of the World heritage also fall in this category of vested interests would be out sooner than later. What the common man has to do is wait and watch for the celebrations to begin and end as the drama will unfold in the days to come.
