Udhampur, Nov 19: To spread the message of communal harmony and National Integration and Fraternity, a weeklong Communal Harmony Campaign got underway in Udhampur today. The campaign is being organised by District Administration under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Mrs. Yasha Mudgal.
During the first day of the campaign students and staff members of different educational institutions including Government Higher Secondary (GHSS), Boys & Girls Udhampur, GHSS, Chununta, GHSS, Barola, GHS, Bhati, GGHS, Ramnagar, Krimchi, Garhi, Salmari and GHS, Seen Barhmna took the pledge for fostering communal harmony, brotherhood and peace.
On the occasion teachers delivered lectures on communal harmony and national integration. They called upon the students to be the ambassador of communal harmony for the peace and prosperity of the country.
For fostering communal harmony, national integration and fraternity, cultural programmes, debates, massive students rally, painting competition and film shows on communal harmony would be organized during the campaign.
