| KD demands stern action against errant ration dealers | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 19: Kranti Dal has criticized state Govt for not taking any action against the errant ration dealers in Jammu and Kashmir who are involved in corrupt practices.
Holding a press Conference chairman Anan Sharma along with youth president Rajinder Bhagat and Panch Manmohan Kumar said that there is black marketing of PDS ration by the ration dealers in the whole state of Jammu & Kashmir.
There is no specific time & day of opening/closing of their shops by the Ration Dealers causing a great problems for the Ration Card Holders. Issue of fewer rations to the Ration Card Holders on some lame & filmsy grounds. Ration Dealers have been using fake ration cards to withdraw ration illegally in connivance with concerned TSOs & other employees.
There is no system (monthly, quarterly, halfyearly or yearly) checking of Ration Cards to bring a check to the mal practices adopted by the Ration Dealers. Anan Sharma said that one Sh.Manmohan Kumar, Panch of Krishna Nagar, Ward No.10, Panchayat Halqa Maralia, Block-R.S.Pura, District Jammu has lodged specific complaints against Ration Dealer of Krishna Nagar viz. Amar Singh Choudhary on 05-09-2013 and the said complaint was marked by the Director to the A/D-Rural to enquire & report within 2 days.
A/D Rural further directed TSO, R.S.Pura to have a physical verification of the Ration Cards and submit report. But TSO, R.S.Pura has not so far been carried out physical verification which is a matter of serious concern, instead he put his all efforts in issuing ration to the said Ration Dealer
Panch Manmohan Kumar said that during the recent visit of Rahul Gandhi (Deputy President, AICC) he reiterated that the J&K government should give powers to the panches & sarpanches and also see about their security.
But the Manmohan Kumar, panch has been running from pillar to post to get justice by a legal action against the said Ration Dealer. On the one hand our state government has been talking of powers given to the elected representatives of the Panchayats but on the other hand even a clerk does not have fear in mind in saying " no" to a panch & sarpanch. Who is responsible to create such a atmosphere where the elected members must be listened and given special attention by the government employees/officers.
Kranti Dal demanded stern action against responsible dealers and checked on priority basis and severe legal action should be taken against the corrupt Ration Dealers. Others who attended the press conference Sh. Rajinder Bhagat, Tarun Gupta, Sidharth Sharma, Vijay, Akhil and Neeraj. |
