Kathua, Mar 10: As the examinations of Class XII are on, the paper leakage cases are being reported from every nook and corner of state, just after few days three teachers were detained from R S Pura in a paper leakage case, a fresh case was reported from Kathua District when police held one student while other two managed to give slip to police when getting an examination paper Xeroxed here on Monday. According to police sources, after getting a reliable information about the suspicious movement of three students alongwith a "leaked examination papers of subject "Chemistry for Class 12th of JKBOSE" outside a Photostat Shop at Kathua, the Chief Education Officer (CEO) J K Sudan accompanied by Tehsildar Jatinder Mishra and police raided on the spot and caught them red handed for copying the papers, but two of them ran away and one culprit taken into the custody of police at Kathua Police Station. While speaking to the media persons, CEO, Kathua Sudan said, "The information regarding the paper leakage was received by the DC Kathua in last evening." "Acting promptly, the DC Kathua assigned CEO Kathua, Tehsildar and Police to investigate the matter in order and get students arrested so as to foil the bid of further leakage/sale of papers among the students besides detaining the black moles within education department involved in this racket, he said. He said the joint squad raided the spot and caught the three teenagers red handed with the bundle of leaked papers however two of them managed to escape while one student was arrested by the police on spot. He was being questioning at Police Station Kathua where a case stands registered in this regard, CEO said. To decide the further course of action against the leakage of papers, the administration of Kathua has brought the entire episode into the notice of higher authority of JKBOSE, he added. |
