Panic on IB as 'Thai Airways' plane enters Indian skies
5/23/2014 10:58:50 PM
JAMMU, May 23: Panic gripped the bordering Ranbir Singh Pura belt of this winter capital when a plane of 'Thai Airways' allegedly entered the Indian Skies. However, the official from the Minister of Defence said that it was not an 'airspace violation' by the neighbouring Pakistan. "The international flight was noticed by some farmers this morning, which triggered panic," reliable sources here said. However, BSF officials and intelligence agencies sounded alert and started investigating the matter after getting information about the incident. "The plane entered from Pakistan side and remained in Indian skies for few minutes and returned back," sources added. Meanwhile Defence Spokesman Lt Col Manish Mehta said, "because of bad weather in area from around 1000 hrs the flights were deviated from their track to circumvent weather hurdles". He however, denied 'air space violation' by Pakistan.
