| BGSBU Polytechnic College speedup admissions for Engineer Diploma streams | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May 23: Centrally funded Polytechnic College of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) has become number one in operationalization in J&K state polytechnic become number one in operationalization after speeding up process of 6th batch admission in 4 Engineering Diploma streams.
According to press release the college administration said that the college was established in 2009 in collaboration with the State government.
It is pertinent to mention here that after popular demand of people, Central government in collaboration with state government had opened various Polytechnic in 2009 in each district headquarter to train youth in order to meet the great market demand for skilled lower level end engineers.
BGSBU's Polytechnic has become first to produce 2 batches of engineers in 4 streams and it was first such institute made operational on the hillock of Dhanore in Rajouri district in the foot hills of Peer Panjal Mountain Ranges.
"Under the guidance of Vice Chancellor Prof I A Hamal, the Polytechnic has speeded up the process of enrolling fresh students in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering. Admission Prospectus have already been launched for the same and is also available on University website" said Col (retd) KK Dogra, principal of the college.
He added many young school pass outs who do not have the means to pursue higher studies and run from pillar to post in search of vocational training to acquire some skill for making a living. He said that applications are already invited and entrance examination is scheduled in June 2014.
He added that University Polytechnic, BGSBU Rajouri has all along striven for excellence and produced two batches of Diploma Engineers in June 2012 and June 2013 and third batch would be completing their course in June 2014. "Emphasis is on in imparting technical skills so that Diploma Engineers can also become efficient entrepreneurs and good industrial engineers and managers", said Principal. |
