Jammu, May 23: A youth was found hanging from a tree under mysterious circumstance near his residence in Arnia an area in city outskirts here today.
The deceased has been identified as Shamsher (23) son of Tarsem Lal of Village Triva in Arnia, police sources said.
Sources said that some villagers noticed body of Shamsher hanging from a tree and they immediately informed the family members of the deceased and to the police. On getting the information, police team from the concerned police station reached to the spot, sources said.
"After taking custody of body and collecting circumstantial evidences from the crime spot, police shifted the body to the Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Bishnah for postmortem, police sources said. After completion of legal formalities, the body was handed over to family members for last rites.
Meanwhile Police have registered a case and started investigation in this regard. |
