| REASI, May 23: District Reasi won the maiden inter-district state level under-14 girls kho-kho championship, organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) at Government Girls Higher Secondary School grounds, here today. In the final, Reasi defeated district Udhampur. Host girls completely dominated the opponent in both running and chase throughout the game. Riya Manhas, Roshni Devi and Chander Kala were superb game in both the innings thus helped the side win the title trophy for the first time. Third place went to Jammu district after they defeated their counterparts from Doda in the hardliner played this morning. In the final and prize distribution function, Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Rajinder Singh was chief guest, who gave away winners and runners-up trophies as also other individual prizes.He interacted with the members of the teams winning first three positions and encouraged them in their future endeavors. District Chief Husbandry Officer, Dr HS Ranna and DySP, Ishtiyak Ahmed Kacho were guests of honour. Prominent among others present were Principal of host school, PD Sharma, Principal Boys Higher Secondary School, MM Khajuria and Headmaster High School Kambal Danga, Romail Singh. |
