Jammu, May 23: In order to inculcate peace in early life of students, an Initiation ceremony was held today Presentation Convent Senior Secondary School, Jammu.
The Chief Guest for the occasion was Anuradha Bhasin Jamwal, Executive Editor, 'The Kashmir Times'. Sister Dorothy graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. The Ceremony commenced with the lighting of lamp. It was followed by a Prayer Dance after which some senior students shared their experiences as members of Peace Club. An interactive PPT was shown to the students to make them understand the importance and true meaning of peace.
The programme culminated with the encouraging words of Anuradha Bhasin who motivated the students by sharing her personal experiences, as she herself is an ardent and active supporter of peace. She highlighted the need for Justice and Peace. The newly initiated members were welcomed into the Peace club by Sr. Dorothy and she urged them to work as the initiators of peace at each and every given opportunity. |
