DODA, May 23: Dominating all parts of the game, District Kathua today clinched U-14 years Girls Kabaddi title by defeating District Samba by 22 points in finals of the State Level Inter District U-14 Girls Kabaddi Tournament organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports in Kishtwar.
The Concluding ceremony of the State Level Inter District under 14 years Girls Kabaddi Tournament was held at HSS Girls Kishtwar by the Directorate of Youth Services & Sports Department J&K under the supervision of District Youth Services & Sports Officer Kishtwar, Dewan Chand Thakur and direct patronage of Director General of Youth Services & Sports J&K Naveen Agarwal.
The 4 day tournament was inaugurated on 20th of May 2014. The concluding ceremony was presided over by A.S.P. Kishtwar Abdul Qayoom while as C.E.O. Kishtwar, Rajinder Singh Sen, Principal HSS Boys, Kamal Kishore Sharma and Principal HSS Girls, Prehlad Bhagat were present as the guests of honour.
Impressive Speeches were deliberated on the occasion by A.S.P.Kishtwar, Abdul Qayoom, C.E.O. Kishtwar, Rajinder Singh Sen DYSSO Kishtwar, Dewan Chand Thakur and Pardeep Koul who anchored the function.
The final match was played between the teams of District Kathua and District Samba in which District Kathua won the match by 22 points. District Kathua scored 38 points while District Samba scored 16 points. A cultural item was also displayed by Daffodil Model Public School under the guidance of Nisar Doolwal, cultural officer.
Prizes and certificates were distributed among the winner and runner up teams by the chief guest and amidst cheers of all participants. Players of District Kathua and other Districts besides the coach staff accompanying them shared their views and acclaimed the treatment given to them by the people of the area and others.
The officials who were present on the occasion include, Chander Shekhar Lecturer Physical Education HSS Boys Kishtwar, Subash Chander ( Zakhmi), Jodinder Singh, Subash Chander, Roshan Lal, Zorawer, Sanjay Sen, Karnail Singh, Arshad Chowdri, Bharti Sherwat, Reva Sharma and Kusum Lata besides other senior officers of Youth Services & Sports Department were also present on the occasion. |
