Omar rules out presence of ISIS militants in JK | | | Javaid Naikoo Srinagar, Oct 14 : Ruling out presence of ISIS militants in Jammu and Kashmir, the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah today said that some youth used ISIS flags for the sake of show only and action has already been taken in this regard. Talking to media during his visit to New Delhi, Omar said that no militant of the ISIS was present in Jammu and Kashmir. "Some foolish youth used the flags for fun," he said. After discussing border tension with Home Minister, Rajnath Singh Omar Abdullah told the media agencies that 'unfortunately some channels have played up this issue unnecessarily but we have already taken action against the guilty in this regard and the matter is being followed cautiously.' He told reporters that apart from some arrests in the case, the tailor who made the flag has also been identified and action is being initiated against him as well. "We are doing everything necessary but still the media is accusing us of not doing anything to punish the guilty," he complained. Omar also denied the presence of ISIS in the state and said action had been taken against the foolish youths who displayed the flag some time ago and the matter is on the focus of government always. Pertinently security forces particularly Army in July had said the possibility of ISIS militants in Kashmir cannot be ruled out and security forces are following the matter very cautiously since then. |
