No transfer for 2 lecturers of Education for 25 yrs 25 out of 42 overstaying in choicest colleges 10/15/2014 12:12:15 AM Akshay Azad JAMMU, Oct 14: The unholy alliance between the corrupt officials of Higher Education department and affluent college lecturers became evident when a case involving overstay of two lecturers of education at their choicest places for 25 years came to fore. Shabnam Suri was transferred to GDC Kathua, but in a span of two years, she was transferred four times and retained her posting at WC Gandhi Nagar in 2013. Shabnam Suri, posted at WC Gandhi Nagar has been overstaying in Jammu city for the last 30 years, while Tabasum Ara posted at WC Parade has never transferred outside Jammu city colleges. From 1984 to 2011, she was at WC Parade and for two years she was at COE Jammu after which she returned back to WC Parade. In the list of 42 lecturers of Education subject, 25 have been overstaying in violation of transfer policy, majority of them by their own free will and reportedly they have secured postings by greasing the palms of higher authorities. Shruti Sharma posted at WC Gandhi Nagar has been overstaying at Jammu for the last 21 years, or since he joined the department at WC Parade. Baljinder Kour has been overstaying in Jammu for the last 17 years. She was posted at WC Parade from 1997 to 2001 and from 2001 to 2011 she was at MAM College and for a brief period she was at GDC College RS Pura and after only one and half year she returned back to COE Jammu. Reeta Gandotra posted at WC Gandhi Nagar has been overstaying in Jammu for the last 10 years, while Jozafen Afzal posted at MAM College has been overstaying for the last 12 years. Mohammad Farooq posted at GDC Rajouri and Rajinder Kour posted at COE Jammu and Ritu Bhagat posted at GDC Kathua have been overstaying for the last more than 8 years. CL Shivgotra posted at COE Jammu has been overstaying for the last 6 years in Jammu city, while Mushtaq Ahmad Lone posted at GDC Rajouri has been overstaying for the last five years. Mohammad Zubair posted at COE Jammu, Seema Sharma posted at WC Gandhi Nagar, Sushma Bala posted at GDC Akhnoor have been overstaying at their respective colleges for the last six years. Moreover, Ramzan Ali posted at WC Gandhi Nagar, Davinder Kour posted at WC Gandhi Nagar, Parveen Akhter posted at WC Parade, have been overstaying for the last five years. Ashu Jolly posted at COE Jammu, Mansee Sharma, Anupama Sharma posted at GDC Nowshera, Shamboo Nath posted at GDC Chatroo, Swati posted at GDC Paloura, Mohammad Akram posted at GDC Mendhar and Rubeena Yasmeen posted at COE Jammu have been overstaying for the last four years.
