RS Pura, Oct 14: Employment Information and Advisory Bureau, Department of Lifelong Learning, University of Jammu organized an awareness programme on "Career and Challenges after Graduation" at Government Degree College, RS Pura.
According to press release, the objective of the programme was to help the students at their crucial stage to plan achievable goals and take appropriate decisions.
The programme was started with the lightening of traditional lamp followed by a welcome address by Prof. Jugal Kishore, Convener, Career Counselling Cell.
Further the Principal, of the college Dr. S P Sharma in his speech stressed upon the need of career awareness programme for the students. About 120 students of the college participated in the programme.
The resource person in the programme were Prof. Poonam Dhawan, Director, Employment Information and Advisory Bureau, Department of Lifelong Learning, University of Jammu who provided very useful tips for Career Selection to students, Dr. Virender Koundal, Sr. Assistant Prof. PG Department of Economics, JU who apprised the students about various career options in Economics and its allied field, Dr. Garima Gupta, Assistant Prof. PG Department of English, JU who apprised about scope in Languages with special reference to English and Dr. RewaKhajuria, Counselor, EIAB, DLL, JU who interacted with students on the career opportunities available with the education subject. |
