JAMMU, Jan 5: Organised by the J&K Badminton Association, the 41st J&K State Badminton Championship shall take place at J&K Police Badminton Hall, Police Lines, here from January 13.
"The qualifying rounds shall be conducted on January 13, followed by the main draw matches starting next day," general secretary of the Association, Dr OD Sharma said.
The competition shall formally inaugurate on January 14 and shall conclude on January 17 with the holding of valedictory function at 4 pm at the same venue.
Around 150 shuttlers in both boys and girls sections shall compete in different age categories, a handout issued here today informed.
Meanwhile, it has been informed by the Association that the teams shall be selected on the basis of performance in this state championship for the upcoming Senior National Championship to be held at Vijaywada in Andhra Pradesh. |
