Commerce College, Sarveshwar C C register win in 3rd Christmas T-20 Cup

JAMMU,Jan.5 : Commerce College and Sarveshwar Cricket club registered their win and entered the next round of the ongoing 3rd Christmas Twenty-20 Cricket Cup for College Students and J&K Cricketers at Parade Cricket Ground here today.
Ashok Sharma, SSP PCR, Jammu, was the chief guest in the today’s matches. Speaking on the occasion, he conveyed his best wishes to the participating teams for their best performance in this tournament. During interaction with the players of the participating teams he was accompanied by Rajesh Gill Organizing secretary of the tournament and Inspector Rajesh Anand.
Earlier, in the first match, Commerce College defeated MA College XI by 41 runs.
Batting first, Commerce College scored 143 runs in stipulated 16 overs for loss of 5 wkts, with Somay Jain (96 in 49 balls), Ritik (12 ) & Subrat (11) were the main scorers. Ashutosh and Rohit took 2 wickets each.
MAM College in reply could not achieve the target and made only 102 in 16 overs for 5 wickets thus lost the match by 41 runs. Bilal scored 30 runs, K V made 21 runs. Aditya, Ravi and Surya shared 1 wicket each. Somay Jain decalared man of the Match.
In the second match, Sarveshwar XI scripted a comfortable win against Krishna Sports XI.
Batting First Sarveshwar XI made 141 runs in 18 overs for 7 wickets with Sunil(38),Narotam(36) were the main scorers. Ayaz and Aditya took 2 wickets each, Banu & Rohit took 1 wicket each.
In reply, Krishna XI could not achieve the target and made only 122 in 16 overs for the loss of 6 wickets with Rohan (41) and Attu (26) were the main scorers. Narotam, Pardeep, Ankush,Sunny and chander took 1 wicket each. Narotam adjudged Man of the Match.
The matches were officiated by Sanju, Suhail Yusuf, Sandeep Manchanda, Vinod and Farooq and the Organizing Committee of the tournament includes Shakeel Beig DIG Jammu, Fr. Kuriakose Chairman CSO, SR Mishra IPS AIG CIV, Hilal Rather MD Simula, Sanjeev Khajuria SSP Principal PTS Kathua, Pawan Parihar SSP Kathua, Ashok Sharma SO to IG Jammu, Rajnish Pran SO to DIG Jammu, Parshotam Sharma DDP RPHQ, Nicodemus Advisor CSO, Victor Sotra Vice President CSO, Asif Gill Joint Secy.CSO, Vijay Saberwal President Parade Sports Org., Anil Mahajan Gen.Secy. Parade Sports Association, David Mattoo Incharge Conduct Committee, William Mattoo Sports Secy.CSO and the Officiating committee includes Rajesh Dhar, Sunil Sambyal ,RP Singh, Sudhir Singh, Sadiq Hussain, Suhail Yusuf, Sandeep Manchanda, Nitu Khokher, Vinod Kandyara, Abhijyot Singh ,Yogesh Sharma and Rajesh Gill Former Ranji Player & Chief Prosecuting Officer is the Organizing Secretary of the tournament.

JKP XI V/S Guru Nanak CC on 6.1.15 at 9.30 am,
Patel Club V/S Samar Club on 6.1.15 at 1.00 pm.
