Jammu, Jan 5: All Jammu and Kashmir Retired Police Non-Gazetted Officers and Others Personal Forum held a protest demonstration on Monday against the Government order on pay anomaly but not extending its benefit to retired cops.
Numbers of member of Forum assembled at Press Club with carrying banners and placards and they raised slogans against the discriminatory order. Speaking on the occasion, President of Forum Ajit Singh claimed that the Government order number 229-F of 2014, dated 17-10-2014, was in violation of the High Court order, contempt SWP number 277/2009. He lamented that no relief has been provided to the retired police personnel, who were fighting this case since 1996. "Government has played a cruel joke with retired policemen," he alleged and adding member of Forum will not tolerate this. They warned to intensify their struggle if they would fail to sort-out the issue as soon as possible.
