Jammu, Jan 5: Police today foiled a bid to smuggle kerosene oil and arrested truck, seized 400 ltrs and truck in RS Pura.
Police spokesman said that based on information, Inspector Abid SHO R S Pura alongwith Police team today conducted a raid in Banota village and intercepted one Truck bearing registration number JK02X-9983 driven by Sanju of Kultyar, Udhampur.
"On search of the vehicle, police party recovered 400 Ltrs of Kerosene oil which he was carrying to earn illegitimate profit", said spokesman. The Kerosene oil dealer Lalit Sharma of Banota fled away from the spot. Police arrested the truck driver and seized Truck alongwith Kerosene oil.
In this connection a case under FIR No.03/2015 under section 409 of RPC and 3/7 Essential Commodity (EC) Act has been registered and further investigation of the case is going on. |
