Govt formation process will be transparent: Mufti | PDP-BJP to have structured dialogue on CMP | | Javaid Naikoo
Srinagar, Feb 7: The Peoples Democratic party (PDP) patron and former Chief Minister, Mufti Muhammad Sayed has said that the coalition with BJP will be issue based and the focus will be on the CMP. Putting all speculations to rest, Mufti today said that his party will have a structured dialogue with BJP to arrive at a Common Minimum Programme and confirmed that PDP was not in a hurry to form government with BJP. Addressing the party workers on the occasion of presidential elections of the party in Jammu, Mufti said that the two parties will work shoulder-to-shoulder to provide good government to the people of the state and added that there would be structured dialogue between PDP and BJP and in this regard discussions would be held on various issues before giving concrete shape to Common Minimum Programme and ultimately government formation. Mufti made clear that there were no secret deals with the BJP. "The process of forming government will be transparent. Both the parties have a vision and whatever will be the outcome will be before the people of J&K and it will not be a secret," he said. He said that the CMP which was in place when PDP ruled over kashmir in coalition with Congress helped in ensuring peace, progress and prosperity in the state by creation of a peaceful environment across the state, he said adding it will be taken up with the BJP leadership. He said that PDP will work for friendly relations between India and Pakistan. "PDP wants to change the destiny of the people of J&K by working for peace and development for all the three regions of the state as it did in 2002," he said. |
