An over ambitious BJP leader leaked party's strategy to opponents | BJP's defeat in Rajya Sabha elections: | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 7: Victory of Ghulam Nabi Azad in the Rajya Sabha election has authenticated the allegations that there were some moles in BJP who leaked party's strategy for the Rajya elections to the opponents. Credible sources said that during meeting of BJP's core group to form strategy for the Rajya Sabha elections it was decided that besides targeting Independent MLAs party should also lure some Congress and National Conference MLAs to remain absent during the polling to confirm defeat of Ghulam Nabi Azad. During the core group meeting names of some Congress and National Conference MLAs were disclosed to whom the party leadership would target. Some over-enthusiastic BJP leaders leaked this secret strategy to some of his close confidents who later spread it in the political circle. It is believed that an over-enthusiastic BJP leader, who has become blue eyed boy of BJP's central leadership for the last one year and always tried to remain in the limelight of media, has deliberately leaked party's strategy to give an impression that he has total control over the party. The leader, who has leaked this strategy, is an outsider in the party and is very ambitious to completely capture the BJP. It is yet to inquire whether this leader has leaked the strategy to convey the same to opponent or just to project himself as only leader of BJP in Jammu and Kashmir. BJP's strategy reached to the Congress and National Conference leadership which immediately started damage control exercise. It was part of the damage control exercise that after hosting a dinner for all MLAs of NC and Congress, Ghulam Nabi Azad this morning invited all the MLAs on breakfast. Azad has given special attention to those party MLAs to whom BJP leadership was targeting. On the other hand NC leadership focussed on those party MLAs who were under the target of BJP. Credible sources said that leakage of the strategy has sabotaged BJP's game-plan to win two Rajya Sabha seats. |
