Suman’s art works to be shown in Dubai 2/7/2015 10:44:08 PM Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 7 : Renowned artist Suman Gupta shall be showcasing his new series of works in a major group show in Dubai this month. According to press release, the show titled 'A Spring Sojourn II' is being organized by gallery Verandah which shall commences from February 19 in Dubai.The show is being organized with some senior artists from India showing their important works to the larger art connoisseurs 'in U.A.E Suman Gupta shall be exhibiting few works from his new series based on the subjects taken from nocturnal migration of nomads from the planes to the high land regions with their colorful attire, flocks and glimpses of their pastoral existence painted with very profound brush . Suman Gupta paints landscapes, but for him the hills, rivers and the forests are not merely physical spaces to be consumed for their beauty but become sites for ideological interrogation of socio-political concerns in a seamless, non-intrusive fashion.
