DB directs KDA to file status report or appear personally | Illegal Construction in Katra : | | Jammu, Feb 7 : In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) regarding illegal construction in Katra, Division Bench of State High Court Comprising Chief Justice N Paul Vasantahkumar and Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir granted time to file status report with the observation that case of any further default a responsible officer of the Katra Development Authority (KDA) shall remain personally present in the court. Whe the case was taken up before the Division Bench the Additional Advocate General Seema Shekhar appearing for the KDA sought weeks' time to file status report and court granted time to file status report with the observation that case of any further default, a responsible officer of the Katra Development Authority shall remain personally present. It is further made clear that respondent-Katra Development Authority (KDA) shall ensure strict implementation of the directions for removal of illegal constructions as are in operation. The Division Bench further observed that Advocate Ajay Sharma, will submit a comparative table of all types of classified violations and the present status thereof with copy in advance to the other counsel appearing for the parties, within one week, so as to enable them to file their respective response, if any, by or before the next date and furthermore, the requisite counter be also filed as directed in earlier orders.
