Jammu, Feb 7: Lalded Women Welfare Society (Regd.) (LWWS) staged Nukkad Play "Aajanmi Kaniya" at Bishnah in which a social message to people was given that parents should change their mindset regarding female child and cautioned those who treat girls on burden and go for their early marriages; we had to stop the dirty practice to end the atrocities against female souls.
According to press release, the story is conceived & written by Rampaul & directed by Naveenpal. The play starts with "Nattu" whose wife "Shallu" is under pregnancy since few month back. "Nattu" is keeping backward thinking because of his old parents that girls cannot be owner of the family only soc can this thing always worrying "Nattu" and same he was discussing with "Shallu" who is also keeping same type of feeling regarding girl soul. One day "Nattu" was under great stress was thinking that if girl child is born to them then a lot of money is required from her birth to marriage and same is impossible for him to bear a laborer. He thinking why he has not gave for being other option, so he was repenting.
Meanwhile his close friend "Ramu" came to his residence to enquire well being of his wife and after listening the discussion he told that "Nattu" I am astonished that you are still ignorant about the girls child see..! gone are the day when girls were treated un equal with boys and were face partially and they were considered as burden on parents due to lack of knowledge but now parents feel proud if female child's is born to them as law is considered equally both the sex. Girls are not less than boys in any fields and parents feel proud of them. Girls are ahead in all the sphere then boys and girls are making their space with any support. Govt. has started so many schemes to bring girls parallel to boys.
