Jammu, Feb 7: Dharmik Yuvak Mandal (DYM) commended the Jammu-East MLA Rajesh Gupta for his personal initiative in getting the Department of Tourism, Jammu and Kashmir, organize the forthcoming 3 days Shivratri Festival at Peer Kho Temple, Jammu. In a statement issued here, President of DYM, Sanjay Anand said that he welcomed the efforts of the MLA Rajesh Gupta for the three days Grand Shivratri Festival commencing from February 15 to 17 2015, and for which Tourism department has announced to undertake all arrangements for the upcoming festivity celebrations. He said that world famous Peer Kho temple dedicated to Lord Shiva has been long neglected by the administration and hoped that efforts of Rajesh Gupta will bear fruit and the abode of Lord Shiva, the venerable pilgrimage of Peer Kho, held in highest esteem by the locals and outsiders, gets its rightful place in the pantheon of religious places of not only the state of J&K, but the entire country. He appealed all the people of Jammu to participate whole heartedly in this grand Shivratri Festival and visit the shrine in large numbers and make it a grand event of the year. |
