rajouri, Feb 7: Atleast 24 persons were injured in Rajouri district when a mini bus they were traveling in fell in a deep gorge in the vicinity of Rajouri town this afternoon. Police sources said that a minibus bearing Regd No: JK14B-6215 on its way to Gurdhan Bala from Rajouri met with an accident after driver lost the control while negotiating a sharp curve and it rolled down into 80 feet deep gorge resulting injuries to occupants of the vehicle. "Immediately after the accident people and local police rushed to the spot, police said adding, " a police party led by Sub Inspector, Mohd Shrief, in-charge Rajouri police post alongwith locals evacuated the injured and shifted them to District Hospital (DH) Rajouri. The injured have been identified as Mohd Nazir, Yaqoob Shah , Mohd Iyaz, Zahir Ahmed, Mushtaq Ahmed, Mohd Junaid, Mohd Afsal,Talib Hussain, Zahir Shah, Zahid Shah, 2 years old Mohd Fasal, Ali Shah,Mphd Afzal, Mohd Reyaz, Kulsum, Kazia Akhter, Bashir Begam, Adil Begam, Kulsum Bi,Mariyam Begam, Kamiz Fatima,Nasrin Akhter and Kamiz Begam. Meanwhile Police have registered a case in this regard and started further investigations. Superintendent District Hospital, Dr Mehmood informed The Early Times that all the injured admitted in the hospital are out of danger and many among them who received minor injuries will be discharged from the hospital. Meanwhile in another road mishap a youth identified namely as Gulnaz Khan of Budhal was critically injured after his motorcycle skidded off the road near village Dantote. He was undergoing medical treatment at District Hospital Rajouri. |
