Katra, Feb 7 : Two day Management Development Program (MDP) on 'Human Resource Management for Excellence in Business' was inaugurated successfully at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University here today Organized by Faculty of Management, SMVDU, the program aims at equipping the participants with necessary HR skills, perspectives and strategies to enable them to build sustainable competitive advantage in industry. The program witnessed participation from various industrial organizations like Sun Pharma Laboratories Ltd., United Phosphorus Ltd., Coromandel International Ltd., Saraswati Agro Chemicals (I) Pvt. Ltd., Sarveshwar Organic Foods Ltd., Grauer & Weil (I) Ltd, SDS Ramcides Crop Science Pvt. Ltd., Vision India Staffing Pvt. Ltd. among others. During the inaugural ceremony, Prof. D. Mukhopadhyay, Dean FOM emphasized the importance of Human Resources in building competitive advantage for business and the contemporary issues and challenges facing HR managers. Chandigarh will deliberate on 'Legal Framework for Human Resource Management' and 'Statutory Compliance Needs in HRM'. Swarnalatha Jagarlapudi, Associate Professor, Administrative Staff College of India, Hyderabad, will be discussing 'HR Audit: Designing and Implementation Issues'. Dr. Arti Devi, Assistant Professor, SMVDU will talk about 'Management of Industrial Relations'. |
