Tehsildar conducts surprise 'market checking' | | | Early Times Report KISHTWAR, Feb 7: Following the directions of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kishtwar Mohammad Hanief Malik, a team under the supervision of Tehsildar Kishtwar Phulail Singh (KAS) conducted a surprise market checking in Kishtwar town to put a check on alleged mal to deceive the gullible customers and also to remove illegal encroachments. The team comprising of Execative Officer Municipal committee Kishtwar, TSO Kishtwar ;SHO Kishtwar and AC legal Meteorology led by Tehsildar conducted anti encroachment drive and cleared encroachment from the footpaths besides seizing a lot of material laid by the traders on the footpaths causing inconvenience to pedestrians. Meanwhile the weights and measurement instruments were also checked and during the drive two shopkeepers were found guilty and accordingly were challaned. The team also directed trading community to keep the rate lists displayed on conspicuous place at their establishments. The enforcement team also realised a fine of Rs 6100 from the defaulters, beside large quantity of rotten fruits and vegetables were also destroyed. Meanwhile the meat sellers were directed to use electronic weighting machines in place of the manual instruments. |
