Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 18: All India Kashmiri Samaj (AIKS) highlighted the problems of unabated problems of Kashmiri Diaspora, in particular of displaced Kashmiris, has undertaken several projects to empower the community, in particular socially and economically. According to press release, it was stated that conscious of the difficulties being faced by the youth of the community, AIKS is formulating projects for youngsters such as skill development and sports. For healthier body and mind, sports are a necessity for youth, when drug menace is spreading fast among the future of the Nation. Team sports are good for learning accountability, dedication, and leadership, among many other traits. Putting it all together by playing a sport is a winning combination. It also stated the after effects of the exodus of the community have put lot of the pressures on the youth of the community. As playing a sport cuts down on pressure and stress, AIKS has taken a decision to get involved in the sports arena. The AIKS team is sure of sport as a very rewarding and exciting process. With this perspective AIKS resolved to hold a Cricket tournament at Jammu. Ten teams will be participating in the league matches for "AIKS-ALCOBREW" cup. The tournament lasting for over a month will be inaugurated by Prof. Amitabh Mattoo, Advisor to the Hon'ble Chief Minister, Jammu & Kashmir State at Parade Ground on 20th of November, 2016 at 12 noon. The J &K Police is the associate of the tournament. The tournament is being sponsored by ALCOBREW and Co-sponsors are MG Realty &MG Estate, HORIZON and Socio Welfare International Society. |
