Burglars' racket busted, four held with stolen property worth lakhs | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 18: Police claimed to have busted a burglars' racket in Rajouri district with the arrest of four burglars and recovery of stolen items during investigations of the burglaries in the border district. "Acting on specific information, SHO Rajouri, Inspector Chaman Gorkha under the supervision of Dy.SP Hqrs Rajouri, Hamid Choudhary on direction of officiating SSP Rajouri, Atul Sharma, conducted raids at different location in Rajouri Town and arrested three burglars initially," Police spokesman. Police said, "The arrested burglars have been identified as Asif Malik and Mohd Zahoor both residents of Bela Colony Rajouri and Sajjid Sheikh of Kheora Rajouri." Police spokesman further said that the trio was involved in cases under FIR No. 423/2015 u/s 457/380of RPC, FIR No. 708/2016 u/s 379 of RPC and FIR No. 724/2016 u/s 457/380 of RPC registered at Rajouri police station. "One LCD, two Mobile phones, one Cycle, one Laptop were recovered from their possession, police added. Meanwhile, another burglar namely Mohd Anwar of Sarnoo Rajouri involved in a case under FIR No.696/2016 u/s 379 of RPC was also arrested in Rajouri. Police spokesman said that police recovered 08 GI pipes of PHE department from his possession. Some more recoveries of stolen property have been affected which included three Motor cycles in case under FIR Nos. 155/2016, 496/2016 & 695/2016 u/s 379 of RPC registered at Rajouri police station in which search of the accused is going on. |
