Jammu, Nov 18: Sr Vice President JKPCC and former cabinet minister Sham Lal Sharma today condoled the death of former Governor J&K and Assam Lt Gen (Retd) S K Sinha, who passed away today in New Delhi.
Sharma condoling Sinha's death in his message said country has lost a true hero whose heroic actions brought the state virtually out of insurgency.
Recalling Sinha's "invaluable contributions" in crafting the Unified Command Structure to tackle insurgency in the state as well as in its economic development, Sham said the nation would remember his leadership and valiant service in the Army as well as distinguished service as governor of Jammu & Kashmir and ambassador to Nepal.
"His death is an irreparable loss to the country," Sham Lal said. |
