JKEDI starts easy loan schemes for unemployed youth | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 18: 'With sole aim of making unemployed youth self-reliant and lessen their dependency on government jobs, the state government through Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) has started easy loan schemes wherein people can set up their units and even generate employment for others. More and more youths must avail this opportunity and set up their units depending upon their feasibility and interests'. This was stated by Puneet Singh Jamwal during an awareness programme organized by Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) in collaboration with Civil Society for Development of J&K State at Top Sherkhania, Jammu in which large number of youth participated. Young boys and girls interacted with officials of EDI and later on even filled up their forms for undergoing training before deciding to start their units. They were educated that candidates can establish their own income generating units be it that of manufacturing, trading or agriculture and allied. Speaking on the occasion, the EDI officials informed that seed money of 35 per cent of total project cost is non-refundable and 65 per cent will be provided by the J&K Bank at concessional interest rates. |
