Jammu, Nov 18: A deputation of Nami Dogri Sanstha (Regd) Jammu lead by its president Advocate Dogra Harish Kaila met the Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages in his office chamber at Jammu and apprised the authority about the problems being face by the artists in the region. President of the Nami Dogri Sanstha (Regd.) Jammu along with all the deputationists brought into the notice of authority that Sanstha looks for the better collaboration with the Academy in organising various literary programmes in Jammu region for furtherence of the cause of Dogri language. Kaila further said that all Sansthas and Organisations working for propagating the cause of Dogri language and its culture should be supported by the Academy on equitable basis looking at the literary endeavours made by such organisations on ground so that the performing organisations are encouraged. He further requested the Secretary that the representation of the Dogri writers and artists should be given in the Central body and the General Council due to the Dogri language being one of the major languages of the state. The Secretary gave patient hearing to the deputationists of the Nami Dogri Sanstha (Regd) and said that the Academy is committed to the cause of all languages and culture of the State and working sincerely as per mandate of the Academy. The deputation comprised of Narsingh Dev Jamwal, Yash Pal Yash, General Secretary, Nami Dogri Sanstha, Capt. Lalit Sharma IFS, Convener, Nami Dogri Sanstha, Mohan Lal Komal, Vice President, Nami Dogri Sanstha and Dr. Chanchal Sharma, Organising Secretary, Nami Dogri Sanstha. |
