TOP STORY OF THE DAY
Two-day after Early Times report senior PDP leaders quit party
Trio likely to join Congress very soon
10/27/2020 12:29:42 AM
Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 26: Two-day after a report in the Early Times, three prominent Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leaders from Jammu province resigned from the party against the irresponsible statement of Mehbooba Mufti. Former Rajya Sabha member, Trilok Singh Bajwa, ex-MLC Ved Mahajan and Gujjar leader of the party, Hussain Ali Bafa wrote a letter to party president Mehbooba Mufti in which there cited many reasons to quit the party. Bajwa and Mahajan are founder members of the PDP while as Wafa is prominent face of the party in Jammu region. Bajwa and Mahajan were two prominent figures from Jammu region who had formed PDP under the leadership of late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed in the year 1999. The duo was considered as confident-men of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed in Jammu provin...

10/27/2020 12:27:32 AM
Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 26: Even as the former Chief Minister and National Conference Patron Dr Farooq Abdullah was questioned atleast twice by the Enforcement Directorate in less than a week, he is seemingly showing two faces since. While Dr Abdullah has been chosen as the head of the so called Peoples Alliance for Gupkar Declaration, the Member Parliament has also started actively participating in government activities. On one hand, Dr Abdullah has been pledging to seek restoration of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir through protests against the government, but on the other, he is also “hobnobbing” the government. Recently Dr Abdullah attended the district board meetin...

Now silent, Sheikh Abdullah’s NC played pivotal role on Accession Day
History barely kind to anyone!
10/27/2020 12:26:35 AM
Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 26: On October 26, when Accession Day was being celebrated all across, the stoic silence maintained by the National Conference on the occasion was intriguing. The party didn’t issue a single statement and the tech-savy party vice-president Omar Abdullah stayed away from twitter. As it is a known fact that in order to appease the separatist camp in Kashmir, the party is trying to give wide berth to its role on October 26, 1947, history on the contrary is barely kind to anyone. Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah his autobiography recalls the event of accession – dedicating the whole chapter over this historical event that changed the dynamics of politics in the In...

10/27/2020 12:25:52 AM
Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 26: The National Conference (NC) on Monday distanced itself from PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti’s controversial remark on the national flag. Addressing the media on Friday, former Jammu and Kashmir CM Mehbooba Mufti had said that she will not hoist the Indian tricolour till Jammu and Kashmir's special status and separate flag are restored. The NC and PDP are part of the newly-formed People’s Alliance for the Gupkar Declaration, a forum to push for the restoration of J&K’s special status and statehood. However, NC leader Devender Singh Rana on Monday said that the National Conference will not compromise on the nation’s sovereignty and integrity. Slamming ...

ISHTIYAQ AHMAD EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, Oct 26: Revival of political activities in Kashmir has led to the Valley based leaders locking horns with New Delhi. Since the day Kashmir based top leaders have been released the political activities appear to have regained momentum in the Valley. But the issues being raised by the Kashmir based leaders seem to have annoyed the people sitting in New Delhi. Political observers believe that since the day NC president Dr Farooq Abdullah said that Article 370 can be restored with China’s help, he has ended up in trouble.
