Early Times Report JAMMU, Sep 3: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has hinted that the ban on internet services in Jammu & Kashmir is likely to continue. In an interview with newspaper in Brussels, Jaishankar said, "It wasn't possible to stop communication between militants without an impact on all of J&K. How do I cut off communication between the terrorists and their masters on the one hand and keep internet open for the people." It has been merely a month since the internet and mobile services were snapped in Kashmir. In Jammu, mobile internet services continue to remain suspended. An analyst while talking to Early Times said, "It seems that government has finally cracked the whip on the communication network of the terrorists by blocking the internet in Kashmir. In Jammu also the mobile internet has been cut-off and it looks like that the service is unlikely to be restored in the near future." He said, "Government's blocking the internet in Kashmir has led to militancy related incidents coming down to almost zero and it appears that situation is under control." The ...

The cold stores in Kashmir can hold only 1.5 metric tons while as the Valley needs stores for 4 lakh metric tons of fruit this year. "The plucking of fruit has already started and we need at least 100 trucks every day to carry the fruit to various markets.
