| City Shocker: Mother of two allegedly gang raped | | | Jammu, July 15 : Nowabad police today booked three youth for allegedly kidnapping and raping a mother of two children.
Police sources said that a woman (name withheld) alleged that last evening she went to a doctor for her medical checkup and while returning home she got late and asked a person having acquaintance for a lift to her place at Jagti from Nowabad area. Police quoting the complainant further said that on the pretext of lift, accused identified as Mukesh forcefully took her to Udhaywala area where she was gang raped by three youth. "After committing rape the accused managed to escape from the spot leaving her behind", said police. The victim reported the matter to Nowabad Police, and after medical examination a case under FIR 116/14 u/s 366 and 376 of RPC has been registered at Police Station Nowabad while a manhunt is on to nab the accused trio including Mukesh- the main accused. Pertinently, a rape complaint was lodged by the victim against a man identified as Vijay Kumar of Sunderbani area in the year of 2008 and she had a girl child. The victim as per reports got married in the year of 2007, barely after a year of nuptial ties she got divorce. |
