Mian Altaf's son storms into Kangan police station | Assaults man, rescues 3 accused | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, July 15: The son of Jammu and Kashmir Forest Minister today assaulted a man who was inside a police station to lodge a complaint about three men for beating his wife. The assault by the Forest Minister Mian Altaf's son Mir Ali took place inside the Kangan police station, official sources said, adding Ali managed to free three persons, including a special police officer, accused of beating the woman. Sources said that a woman from Baba Nagri in Kangan approached the police station and accused three men of beating her. The three accused work at a stone crusher in the area. The woman along with her husband Mohammad Sadiq filed a complaint, and the police team was deputed to the area and the three persons were picked up by police, sources said. The stone crusher machine according to reliable sources belonged to the Forest Minister's son. Mir Ali rushed inside the police station and beaten to pulp the husband of the woman for filing complaint against his men. "After beating Sadiq inside the police station, Ali later left with the three associates who had been arrested by police following the woman's complaint. Meanwhile, police took Sadiq to nearby hospital where from he was shifted to SKIMS in Soura for specialized treatment. A police officer said that we are waiting for a written complaint by the family and action will be taken as per law against Ali. |
