Dhanesh Dogra's 'autobiographies' impresses

Jammu, July 15 : The five day theatre festival 'Jammu Natya Utsav 2014'- initiated by Aaditya Bhanu and his Team today kickstarted with a solo performance by Dhanesh Dogra entitled as "Autobiographies are lies' which opened today at K L Saigal hall.
The 25 minutes saga was a thread picked up from incidents of life of Dhanesh Dogra who portrayed a victimized son of his paternal uncle who pledges to take revenge of a thrashing received in his childhood, only to realize 21 years later that his culprit himself has turned the sufferer.
Dhanesh Dogra produced the vibrant moods of a growing kid who have been taught by his family the ethics of living by his parents and were made to sufferer in the course of life.
Though Dogra's attempt to chase his philosophy of autobiographies being not all lies , yet he focused on some anecdotes of his life in a shortened version of his play , but came out successfully justifying that any individual can attempt with the experiments of truths of life.
While the play was entitled 'Autobiographies are Lies', the actor takes his conclusion to a self emulated logic that autobiographies all cannot be lies and vows to prove it.
" Autobiographies are les, but I will prove it one day that all autobiographies are not lies as I have to prove G B Shaw wrong," were the concluding lines of Dogra who received round of applause from the select audience .
The theatre festival is in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art Culture and Languages.
Janak Khajuria, the veteran actor, director producer of TV and stage, who was chief guest on the occasion praised the efforts of Aaditya Bhanu and his team for initiating such efforts and said that besides proscenium theatre intimate plays are equally important that gel well with the audience in a closer feel. He wished that abhinav theatre comes live soon so that artists may not be more deprived of such activities. Tomorrow, Parchhaiyan would be staged by Shivani Cultural Soiety.
